Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 24, 2026
1. Overview
Strats On Deck works without an account. If you choose to create one, we store your email address, display name, and saved trading-style assessment so you can sign in and sync your preferences and deck.
2. Data stored on your device
Your alert history and settings are stored in your browser's local storage on your own device. Clearing your browser data or using the "Clear saved data" button in Settings removes them permanently.
3. Data stored in your account
When you sign in, your saved deck and trading-style assessment are stored privately in your account. Your assessment records your preferred direction, ranking style, price reaction, timeframe and sparks. You can edit it in Settings. Guest completion is remembered in this browser; signed-in completion is remembered by account. We do not use IP addresses to identify traders or skip assessments, because multiple people can share an address. Clearing browser data removes guest completion but not your saved account assessment.
4. Data we do not collect
We do not sell personal information or use advertising trackers. Trading-style profiles use the answers you choose to provide, not tracking across other websites.
5. Shared match posts and engagement
Creating a tracked post link publishes only the ticker, company, opportunity score, direction, research headline and snapshot timestamps. Your username, photo and account ID are not exposed on the public post. To measure engagement, we store random browser and browser-tab session identifiers, the post opened, its opening time and either a source tag or referring website hostname. We do not store referring page paths, query strings or IP addresses for this feature. Unique browser counts are estimates, not identified people. Known bots and signed-in author previews are excluded. Repeated opens in the same tab session count once per post. Browser identifiers remain on your device until you clear browser data; event records remain until the associated account is deleted. Reports show at most the most recent 90 days. Post creators see their own aggregate engagement; administrators can see aggregate engagement across all posts. Images viewed entirely inside social apps are not measurable here.
6. Third-party data sources
To show market data and filings, our servers request public data from SEC EDGAR and Yahoo Finance. These requests are made server-side and do not include information that identifies you.
7. Cookies
The platform does not set tracking cookies. Standard hosting infrastructure may process technical logs (such as IP addresses) transiently to deliver the service.
8. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the platform evolves; the last updated date will change accordingly.
